An unforgettable Sahara Trip
Day 1: From Marrakesh Across the Atlas Mountains & Ait Ben Haddou to the Dades Valley
Your unforgettable desert adventure begins in the morning in Marrakesh. You’ll cross the impressive High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2,260 meters. Along the way, breathtaking views, traditional Berber villages, and photo stops at stunning landscapes await you. A highlight of the day is the world-famous Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, which has served as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After a guided tour of this remarkable fortress, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert." From there, you follow the famous "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" through the picturesque palm oasis of Skoura, past the fragrant Valley of Roses, and on to the spectacular Dades Gorges, where you’ll spend the night in a charming hotel and enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner.
Day 3: Merzouga – Relaxation and Night in a Desert Hotel
After waking up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, you’ll enjoy breakfast at the camp. Then, we return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga village. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind at a comfortable desert hotel or lodge near the dunes. You can choose to take an optional quad bike ride, explore nearby villages, visit a nomadic family, or simply relax by the pool and enjoy the desert atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: From the Dades Valley to the Dunes of Merzouga – Camel Trekking & Night in the Desert Camp
After a hearty breakfast, your journey continues toward the breathtaking Todra Gorges. Take time to admire the majestic cliffs and the crystal-clear river, perfect for a relaxing break or stunning photos. In the afternoon, we head toward the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Your Sahara adventure truly begins as you mount your camel and ride into the heart of the desert, surrounded by towering sand dunes. As the sun sets and the sky turns magical, you reach your desert camp (bivouac). Enjoy a traditional mint tea, a delicious Berber dinner by the campfire, and a night under a breathtaking canopy of stars — complete with live music and the spirit of the Sahara all around you.

You can add an extra night in the desert to enjoy more activities, or choose to spend a night in Ouarzazate on the return journey to break up the long drive to Marrakesh.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Return to Marrakesh
After breakfast, we begin the long journey back toward Marrakesh. We retrace our way through the Draa Valley, admiring ancient kasbahs and stunning landscapes along the way. If you wish to break up the drive, you have the option to spend a relaxing night in Ouarzazate before continuing to Marrakesh the next day. Otherwise, we continue directly to Marrakesh, where you arrive in the early evening — bringing your unforgettable Sahara adventure to an end.
